SCOPE DRUMS

All the Scope Info

Precision●Accuracy●Vision 100% “Hand Made” Acrylic drum sets by award winning Australian designer, Mark Orr “It’s a great feeling when drums instill a presence of power, sensitivity and virtuosity even before playing them”. Mark Orr Q & A Q. Want loud sounding drums that ring with perfect pitch? How about low-end rumble with long, sweet tone? Is all this possible from one drum? A. Yes, thanks to Scope’s precision bearing edges, custom drum sizes and definitive shell thickness. Q. What makes Scope’s acrylic drums the No.1 choice for drummers today? A. Scope offers the most comprehensive tuning range, pure consistency of sound and unparallel visibility. FACTS Rhythm Logic produces a range of “boutique” acrylic shell drums. All drum sets are designed and built in Rhythm Logic’s workshop, so you are guaranteed of the highest quality, custom made drums. Each shell is completely hand crafted by Mark Orr. All Scope hardware is hand selected and must pass Rhythm Logic’s stringent quality controls. Rhythm Logic offers a unique “Meet the Maker” service where you can personally meet Mark to discuss building your dream drum kit! SPECS Bearing edges Are key factors in sound enhancement and pitch control. Scope’s bearing edges are shaped to form a matching contact surface between head and edge, therefore enhancing tuning and note range for each drum. Experience easy tuning results when heads are first fitted! There is no time wasted breaking in a new head (i.e. to stretch and reform the head to suit the shape of a bearing edge) because “head seating” around Scope’s bearing edge surface is achieved without extreme tension settings or pitch variation between each tuning rod. Shell consistency Having drums that match in timbre is paramount. Sound matching with Scope is 100% assured due to acrylic’s consistent manufacturing processes. BTW if you happen to scratch your scope acrylic shell, most instances allow for the damage to be buffed out as good as new. Unlike a scratch in a timber or exotic lacquer drum kit which in most cases remains to be seen. Shell size Through drum size testing, the ultimate configuration in regular drum sizing is optimized and achieved. Mounting and Stability Clever profile cutting ensures Scope’s tom mount system is durable and lightweight, facilitating total shell resonance. All floor mounted toms and bass drums have interchangeable matching leg blocks, a feature not seen on standard “mass produced” drum sets. Hardware Solid cast/machined construction eliminates hollow sections or weak areas that usually result in lug cracking, fatigue or failure. Scope’s lug design also promotes minimal “shell choke” allowing the drum to freely vibrate. All Scope hoops are heavy duty 2.3mm thick and fitted with patented isolation inserts to prevent any contact between the tension rods and rims.
